The internet today provides us all with unprecedented access to a massive amount of information and has become the preferred method for search and research by 80% of the population in developed countries and the figure is climbing rapidly in most developing countries as well.
While we have many types of sophisticated online tools available to us, it can sometimes be difficult to find exactly what we are looking for because it takes so long to wade through the pages and pages of search results.

Search Engines
When we need to find information using the internet, most of us first reach for one of the most popular Search Engines. With the complex algorithms currently employed by most of these, searches are becoming more accurate, but mainly for commonly searched information.
Because search engines search the whole internet, it is still difficult for them to determine the difference between current and old data, true or false information and words with two or more meanings among other things. And they rank some information higher depending on the number of links or sponsored information.
Search Engines can be highly effective internet tools, but not for all situations, especially in many local business or product searches.
Online Directories
Currently, the main online alternative to search engines is online directories. These come in many formats and styles including industry directories, trade directories, cheapest price directories, association directories, local directories and many more. The limitation with most of these is, they usually specialise in one industry or location, so only provide a very small sample of the marketplace.
Online Directories - The Phone Book
The directory many are familiar with is the internet version of the phone book. Many countries have an online version of the Yellow Pages for example. Because these have evolved from a hardcopy phone book, they tend to be clunky and limited in the way you can specify a search.

This is exactly what the new Uglii suite of online Systems will provide.

4. Registering a Business in the Uglii Systems
To register your business in the new Uglii Systems online business register, just use the link listed at the end of this report, click on the REGISTER tab in the Uglii Search Panel and fill in the business details.
When a business or organisation is first registered, it is given an Uglii. This is the Unique Geographical Location which the business occupies in the world and is represented as a dot on the online Uglii Mapping System.
When someone searching Uglii Find clicks on an Uglii, the business' information is displayed such as Name, Address and Contact details and a brief business description. Businesses can have an Uglii for each location they specify.
Ugliis are one of 4 colours.
Black Uglii
When a business is first registers, its Uglii will be BLACK. A black Uglii indicates to anyone searching the system that the business details are accurate and up to date. The Uglii Systems will prompt all registered businesses every six months to log onto its individual control panel and confirm or update the accuracy of information.
If a business has a GREY Uglii, this means that the basic business information is listed but they have not logged on and verified that the information is current and accurate. This listing may have been originally entered by one of the business' suppliers them as a reseller or agent. Simply completing the online verification process will upgrade a Grey Uglii to BLACK.
To maintain a BLACK Uglii is FREE for all business and all Uglii Searches are FREE to use for everyone.
Premium Uglii (Green Uglii)
A GREEN or Premium Uglii is aimed at businesses that don't have or want a website but would like to stand out from its competitors. A Premium Uglii can be purchased online for around $70 per year and gives the business an online equivalent of a Full Page / Full Colour Ad when someone clicks on this Uglii.
Uglii Link (Blue Uglii)
A BLUE Uglii or Uglii Link is most prominent Uglii a business can upgrade to. Uglii Links are purchased online for around $250 per year and provides the most comprehensive information about a business because by clicking on an Uglii Link, anyone searching the Uglii Find System will be instantly transferred to the business' own Website.
All businesses with an Uglii Link will also receive a fully interactive map imbedded in its own website showing the exact business location.
5. Listing a Business' products and services
To enable all businesses to accurately list all commodities (products and services) it markets, the creators of the Uglii Systems have developed an all new and unique universal listing and coding system for products and services and related brands and models in each economy. These definitions are utilised by all Uglii Systems for listings and searches.
Previously, the most comprehensive product and service listings was UNSPSC developed by the UN with around 20,000 definitions. Uglii Brands has developed over 600,000 standard definitions of products and services. This means that businesses will be able to accurately select which definitions to use when listing its products or services and in turn, anyone searching for the Uglii Systems for products or services can very accurately define their search.
In addition to having over 600,000 standard definitions, each definition has been allocated a unique code number which the system uses for searching. The big advantage here is that any user can search for the supplier of a commodity or a product or a model or a service across all countries in all languages.
All of this means potential new customers, using any fixed or mobile device, can find businesses in the Uglii Systems by searching one or more parameters like - name, suburb, state, country, distance from their current location, distance from a point on the map, by product, brand, service, accepted payment methods and much, much more only receive results that exactly match their search parameters.
The new Uglii Systems will simplify the way we find business and product information online as well as giving everybody a suite of online tools to be able to easily increase business profits and reduce advertising and marketing costs.
6. Uglii System Modules
There are 6 distinct Uglii Systems which all work together: Uglii Find, Uglii Brands, Uglii B2B, Uglii B2C, Uglii Site Cadet and Uglii Classifieds.
Uglii Find is the Geographic (or Spatial) based System where you can search for businesses, organizations, products or services across the world or around the corner and results are displayed using the online Uglii Mapping System.
Uglii Brands is unique because it utilises the most comprehensive listing and coding system ever created. It enables organisations with registered brand names to control how their brand is specified globally and credential their re-sellers. It will enable users to search for commodities down to particular brands and models and find the global manufacturer or closest local re-seller.
The Uglii B2B (Business to Business) and B2C (Business to Consumer) Systems to be launched mid-2011, will provide a new and powerful way for all business, large and small, to utilise the speed and reach of the internet. These two dynamic systems will allow businesses or individuals to make anonymous requests for a product or service and specify, for example, their quantity, delivery and payment method requirements.
The Uglii System will search out all suppliers that fit the request parameters and notify them, providing a flow of highly qualified leads... The suppliers can then automatically or selectively respond by making an offer or sending a quote.
Uglii Site Cadet provides a simple 'build-it-yourself' website system which gives businesses that do not currently have a website, the ability to manage its own affordable website, and maximise the new discoverability offered by the Uglii Find business directory... AND
Uglii Classifieds provides a new aggregated system for creating a new or searching all online classified ads utilising the power of the new Uglii Network.
These 6 individual modules are all connected through a Central Hub in each economy which means when a business registers in one Uglii System it will automatically have access to all Uglii Systems business services and be discoverable by anyone searching any Uglii System.
